11-11-11

 Guess who is 10 months?
On 11/11/11 these two Chunky Monkeys turned 10 months old.  I cannot believe how quickly time has passed.
Tyler was on baby duty.  He had to lay across the floor and make sure the babies didn't crawl into the kitchen.  They are crawling every where and putting every thing in their mouths.
Chayce is a master mind when it comes to getting out of their "cage".  We call him Houdini.  Chandler will usually wait for Chayce to figure out how to get out and then Chandler charges and climbs over ANYTHING or ANYONE in his way.
 HELLO CHANDLER!
These babies still sleep in the closet.  Not sure where they will sleep once they get too big for the closet and their bed.
 HELLO CHAYCE!

Chayce loves to eat, Chandler is ok with it, he would rather be crawling all over the place.

 Chandler

Chayce loves to stick his tongue out.  He is always playing with his tongue, it's so funny.  It's an inherited trait, my mom and my nephew always concentrate with their tongue out.
Happy 10 Months!

*Chayce is crawling every where, Chandler does the inch worm crawl and is really fast at it.
*They are pulling themselves up to everything.
*Nothing gets in their way,
they can climb over anything or anyone.
*Chayce is looking a bit bigger than Chandler.
*No more pacifiers for either one.
*Happy Happy Babies
*Sleeping more
*Each has 8 teeth.  4 on top and 4 on bottom
*Chandler babbles and says MaMaMa
*Chayce squeels at the top of his lungs.
*They continue to be best buddies.
*They are getting more leary of strangers.
*They LOVE when their daddy comes home and gives them attention.
*They are always near each other and still like to sleep right next to or on top of each other.
*Life is going to get more interesting as they continue to grow and get more curious with their surroundings.  They are really fast and anxious to explore.
*Love, love, love these babies!!!

Busy October

October is one of my favorite months.  I love the weather, the leaves and Halloween.  Here are some cute, random pictures from this past month with my two little buddies.

We have the cutest neighbor girls. They love to come over and take the babies and Nicholas on walks.  This day they were playing with them out on a blanket in the front yard.
These boys are climbing everywhere.  Nothing gets in their way. They climb over trucks, each other and their gate...they have learned that if they work together they can push it over and be FREE!

Breakfast at our house is messy.  Chayce, Chandler and Nicholas eat at the same time.  I make a big bowl of baby food and we do one bite at a time with the twins. One for Chayce...One for Chandler and so on. It helps Chandler to open his mouth when he sees Chayce take a bit.
 Nicholas gets to eat eggs.
Cheerios...yum!

They love to go in their Stroller and I LOVE to go walking with them.  But the weather is turning cold so it might be a while until we get to go on our walks.
Just out of the shower, look at those curls!

Wrestling Buddies!

Silly Boys!

Their hair was starting to look a little scraggly so it was time for their first haircut...bye bye curls.

Handsome Chayce
Chandler's turn

So handsome!!

Their first Halloween
Tigger and Pooh

They are still sharing a crib.  I love how Chandler decided to use Chayce's bum as a pillow.

Guess who is 9 months old and
22 pounds each...
CHAYCE and CHANDLER
These two little boys get more and more fun every single day, they also get themselves into more and more trouble.  They are constantly climbing over each other and wrestling.  They are always together.  We will have them "caged" in our living room with the WONDERFUL gate fence thingy we have and even though they have the entire room to roam and play in they are usually right next to or right on top of each other.  And always with a huge smile!!!
This is how I find them a lot of time...Seriously they are so funny!

Someone let the gate open on the fence and these two little stinkers made a run for it.  They escaped together like two partners in crime.

What Chayce and Chandler can do now that they are 9 months old:
*Go from crawling (scooting) to a sitting position on their own
*Eat Cheerios
*Climb up on large toy trucks as well as on mom and dad
*Wave
*Smack their lips when watching each other eat
*Crawl really really fast
*Smile the Biggest Smiles
*Climb all over each other and anything else that gets in their way

*Chandler is extremely squirmy.  When he gets dressed he does not hold still and wants to be on the move.  His legs are constantly kicking or moving, he also wants to be the first one out of bed in the morning if Chayce is picked up first Chandler lets you know that he is NOT happy about that, he is also more of a moma's boy
*Chayce is super easy going, easy to feed and loves to eat.  He doesn't mind strangers and easily smiles and loves his family

We are having so much fun with these boys.  They are progressing at the very same speed.  Usually with Twins one progresses a little quicker than the other, not with these two boys.  They are at the very same level and progression.  They both still have just two teeth and love to giggle!

CRAZY!!

The Triple Wide
(this is an older picture from July)

Last week Chad, my mom, my sister, the three babies and myself took a drive up to Heber to enjoy Swiss Days.  We go every year and love it.  We never really buy anything except my mom always buys a "swiss taco" and piece of pie.  Any how on this lovely weekend we took this triple stroller and loaded the babes into it.  They love their stroller and it's very nice for me to have them contained in one spot. Plus it was an opportunity to get out of my house and enjoy some sunshine.  You would not believe the comments I received while pushing this triple wide.  I was somewhere between a celebrity and a freak show!!!  Most people were nice and thought the babies were cute, sweet etc, etc, but we had a few comments like this "Are you crazy?" "Holy (swearword)", "Your Crazy", "Better you than me".  Now these comments I don't like.  No I am not crazy (yet) and how can you say these things while looking at these three angelic faces who were as good as gold...never complained, whined or made a peep...just smiled at the passerbys and the RUDE commenters!!!  "Better you than me"??? Absolutely better me, I adore my kids, my life, my craziness and yes I CHOSE and was blessed to have a big family. (As a teenager, I had a sister who went through years of infertility and heart break and could only have one child. At that time I would pray that I someday would be able to have lots and lots of children, so worried that I too would suffer from infertility.) This is my lovely life.  I understand if this is not the life of choice for most people, I get that!!  It takes a TON of sacrifice, a supportive spouse, a loss of identity (for a little bit) and a whole lotta poop, spit up, laundry and tears to make it through every single day.  It's not always fun and it costs lots and lots of $$$ to raise a family this size...or any size for that matter!!!  So to those people who think I am crazy...I am so so sorry for your ignorance. I am not crazy for having nine great kids who love each other, play with each other, take care and nurture one another, laugh with each other, always have a buddy to ride a ride with or give them a push on the swing, play board games with each other, support and encourage one another.  This family life I have choose is better than I could have ever imagined it to be for me. It may be a crazy time in our lives but that does not make us crazy for choosing this life.  Plus I get to drive a sweet 12 passenger van...my dream car! (wink)

8 Months

My sweet little boys are 8 months old today.  I can't imagine life without them.  They bring joy daily, hourly to our family.  They are the sweetest babies and are so good natured.  These last 8 months have gone by so fast...too fast!!

 Chandler
We love when they wake up.  They are so happy to see us.  Especially when Chad goes in there and yells..."HELLO BOYS"!  They grin and giggle.  When I went in to get them up from their nap today this is what they looked like, they had some crazy bed head going on.  So cute!!!

Chayce

*8 Months old*
*Trying to crawl
*Each has 2 teeth
*Eat bananas and oatmeal twice a day and loves it
*Chandler is more of a chatter box than Chayce
*Chandler is more demanding than Chayce, if we pick up Chayce first, Chandler just whines and whines until he is picked up, Chayce doesn't really care but I rotate between who I pick up first
*They are content to roll around and play on the floor for hours
*Nicholas always refers to them as "the babies" and takes care of his two little brothers (love it!)
*They love to eat paper...we have to keep any paper way out of reach for both of them
*As they get older they are looking more and more like my dad.  Which is so sweet to me to be reminded of my dad on a daily basis
*Whenever we have the two of them sitting next to each other, Chayce is always trying to put his arm around his brother or his hand on his shoulder...so dang cute!
*The best Grins and Giggles I have ever heard from any baby

I feel so blessed to have these two little boys as well as my seven other awesome, wonderful, fun children in our family.  I can't help but to count my many blessings.

LIFE IS GOOD!

When the big kids leave...

Now that these two monkeys are scooting and rolling everywhere I figured for their own safety it was time to cage them in!!!
They love it and it makes my life a little easier.

 Look at these future Missionaries!!!
I am so out numbered once the kids go to school.
Luckily these four little boys are really good.  Sure we have fits, meltdowns here and there and Max gets bored but for the most part I have a routine down.
In the morning after the kids leave for school, Nicholas and the twins take turns in the high chair for breakfast.  Then they get about two hours of play time.  Then it's time for bottles (one at a time) and then NAP TIME!!  All three, Nicholas, Chayce and Chandler all go down at the same time for about a three hour nap.  That is when I get to shower, do laundry, clean up etc!!!
I love it!
LIFE IS GOOD!
(Just don't interrupt nap time!)

Rollin, rollin, rollin

These babies are rolling all over the place!  I will often find them under the couch.  And when they are caught they are usually giggling.

"Holy Slobber Batman, We have Teeth!"

We have teeth!
That is right these two little guys got there first tooth just a week apart.

Here is Chandler's tooth (actually teeth, I just noticed his second one just broke through)I don't know if you can see Chayce's tooth but it is there! He has already bitten his tongue with that razor sharp tooth.
It won't be long before I have two little crawlers. They are rolling and scooting backwards. I can't keep them on a blanket for any length of time before I find one half way under the couch or into the kitchen. This is going to get interesting!!!"Holy Smokes, Batman! These kids are cute!"

Morning fun on Mommy's bed

Morning is my favorite time of day. It's pretty relaxed and everyone is in a pretty good mood. Chayce and Chandler always wake up so happy, I love it!
Nicholas wanted to join in the fun on Mommy's bed.

Sydney is pretty cute with all of these brothers.

Max loves his baby brothers.

Brotherly Love!
Good Morning!!
