Birthday cake x 2

Chayce and Chandler

WE MADE IT!!
WE survived the first year of twins and it was WONDERFUL!!
 They got a fun blow up ball pit.  They dove right in and loved it!

 Gotta love that static hair!
 Birthday Cake time!
Chocolate of course, not the prettiest but it was so good.  I made the Pioneer Woman's Chocolate Sheet cake recipe, definitively one of my favorites!

Silly Sisters

Chayce was very careful and not sure about diving in.

 Chandler scooped up a huge piece and shoved it in his mouth. So funny and so perfect for their personalities.

 After a bath it was time to open presents from Grandma.  Nicholas had a hard time thinking that these presents were not for him.
Look at those curls!  I love it.
What a great day and a great year.
Happy Birthday Little Buddies!

Happy 1st Birthday Buddies!!!

 I can't believe that a year has come and gone!
Chayce and Chandler are ONE Year old today!
 They are "big" boys now.  Drinking out of sippy
 cups instead of bottles and are done with formula! We now go through one gallon of whole milk every 24 hours.
 They love to tackle and wrestle their big brothers and their big brothers like it too!
 Chayce taking a step
 They are happy happy little guys!

 Rub a Dub Dub...Three Boys in a Tub

*Chayce is the more quiet reseved kid, tends to watch and observe.
*Chandler is all giggles, loves to be chased and is easier to smile.
*Chayce is standing on his own and has taken one almost two steps.
*Chandler is content to crawl really fast.
*They both LOVE pasta and Oatmeal with applesauce or bananas.
We originally moved them out of our closet and into Nicholas room but they were waking up at 3:30 every morning.  So we moved them back into my closet (sigh) and now they sleep in till 9:00.  (Little stinkers)
*Church is getting much more difficult.  They want to crawl around and are no longer content to sit in their car seats.
*They are so busy! Whatever they do they do it fast and furious.

Now as for me I am
*Exhausted
*Happy
*Overwhelmed
*Close to Tears
*Frustrated with my house
*Concerned with my future and my ability to raise 9 Smart, Hard Working, Loving, Honest, Testimony bearing, Mission serving, Kind kids.
*Grateful
*In LOVE with my kids
*LOVE being a mom

Living Large and Loosing it!!

 What were you doing one year ago today?

I was looking large (70 pounds heavier), lovely and ready to be a
mommy to twin boys which would make our kid total NINE!
Chayce and Chandler were going to arrive the next day, I was unsure of their future, their health, their looks, their personalities.  I was unsure of my ability to be a mother to two babies (actually three Nicholas was 1 year and 2 weeks), nine children and a spouse to the most wonderful husband and father. I was worried about my health, my first c-section and the recovery.
I was so huge, so excited, so nervous, so grateful,
so scared, so unprepared and so happy.

First Christmas

 Our First Christmas...and we slept right through it!
 When they woke up these sweet boys loved opening up a couple of gifts.  Cars and books were what Santa brought them this year.
They were pleased!!
 Chandler is all smiles...CHEESE

Chayce loved his new cars

 They enjoyed their first taste of Jello.  Chayce liked it much more than Chandler.

Chandler loved hanging out with his cousin Jonni!

 What an eventful year 2011 has been.  We are so blessed and so grateful for the children in our family.  We have loved having the addition of these two little buddies.  They are a blessing in our family and so sweet.  We enjoy their spirits and their personalities.
Merry Christmas

My Christmas Poet

(picture is blurry, taken off of my phone)
Chad was watching the babies tonight while I was out with Raegan and Kalli. While I was gone he texted me this poem he made up, I thought it was way cute!

I love these boys; they're fun you see!
They crawl, giggle and laugh at me!

But puzzle me they do so very much;
For all the toys in the living room they do not touch!

For Christmas this year the elves need not make more toys;
Certainly not for these cute twin boys.

Santa head over to rubbermaid, glad and ziploc too;
For playing with pots, plastic and kitchen stuff is all they want to do!

So when you arrive home this night;
You may walk into the kitchen and have quite a fright.

But we haven't been robbed, ransacked or chased out of the house;
No this place is too frighteneing even for a mouse.

It's called Chayce and Chandler what more can I say;
But truth be told I wouldn't have it any other way!!!!

So as I look around this Christmas year;
I am reminded of all that I hold so dear!

It may be messy, chaotic and a little intense;
But my family is by far the greatest present!!!

What a sweet family I have been blessed with.  I am grateful everyday for my blessings.  And what a sweet husband I am lucky enough to call mine.
LIFE IS GOOD!

11 months on December 11

 I cannot believe these two boys are 11 months already.  Time has flown by this year.  I was told by other mothers of twins that the first year is a blur and it really is.  I am sad that they are growing up so fast.  They are so much fun and so full of energy and getting so big.
 Chayce
 Chandler

 Oh Christmas Tree...Our Christmas tree looks like Dr. Seuss threw up on it!  It is only decorated the top 2/3 of the tree but has the same amount of ornaments on it as if the whole tree was decorated.  This is not my year for a pretty tree or a pretty decorated house!

 Good Morning Boys!

 Chayce with his tongue out and Chandler with
his crinkled up nose

Happy Happy 11 Months!!!
*Both boys now crawling everywhere, no more worm crawl for Chandler
*Chayce is our "Houdini" he can escape from anywhere he finds it a challenge to get through the many blockades I set up around the house.  We are always "chasing" him!  He has already had two tumbles down our stairs, thank goodness we got our gate fixed because he is determined to break through all barriers.
*Chandler has turned into the cuddly one.  He is more of a mama's boy. (I LOVE IT)
*They are always hungry!  They both cry and are sad when the food runs out. (can you imagine my food bill with these boys and their four older brothers) They are enjoying more of the family meals and not just baby food.
*They both pull themselves up to the couch and walk along the front of it.
* Chayce has fallen flat on his face a couple of times because he thinks he can walk. (oh the stinker!!!)
*Sleep through the night, about 10 hours at a time.
*Hair is getting darker and curlier.
*Chayce has discovered his voice or should I say his scream.  He squeals at the top of his lungs and thinks it's so funny.  Chandler likes to chatter and say mama over and over.
*Starting to really bug their big brother Nicholas (only 1 year older than the twins).  They love to try to play with him but he sees it as them just taking his cars away from him.  Good thing he is so sweet and so patient.

Life is just getting a bit more challenging.  They are very busy boys with lots of energy.  I no longer get ANYTHING done, I have to be with them at all times or they get themselves into trouble. They are so much fun and so dang cute you can't help but smile at them no matter what they are doing.

11-11-11

 Guess who is 10 months?
On 11/11/11 these two Chunky Monkeys turned 10 months old.  I cannot believe how quickly time has passed.
 Tyler was on baby duty.  He had to lay across the floor and make sure the babies didn't crawl into the kitchen.  They are crawling every where and putting every thing in their mouths.
 Chayce is a master mind when it comes to getting out of their "cage".  We call him Houdini.  Chandler will usually wait for Chayce to figure out how to get out and then Chandler charges and climbs over ANYTHING or ANYONE in his way.
 HELLO CHANDLER!
 These babies still sleep in the closet.  Not sure where they will sleep once they get too big for the closet and their bed.
 HELLO CHAYCE!

Chayce loves to eat, Chandler is ok with it, he would rather be crawling all over the place.

 Chandler

 Chayce loves to stick his tongue out.  He is always playing with his tongue, it's so funny.  It's an inherited trait, my mom and my nephew always concentrate with their tongue out.
Happy 10 Months!

*Chayce is crawling every where, Chandler does the inch worm crawl and is really fast at it.
*They are pulling themselves up to everything.
*Nothing gets in their way,
they can climb over anything or anyone.
*Chayce is looking a bit bigger than Chandler.
*No more pacifiers for either one.
*Happy Happy Babies
*Sleeping more
*Each has 8 teeth.  4 on top and 4 on bottom
*Chandler babbles and says MaMaMa
*Chayce squeels at the top of his lungs.
*They continue to be best buddies.
*They are getting more leary of strangers.
*They LOVE when their daddy comes home and gives them attention.
*They are always near each other and still like to sleep right next to or on top of each other.
*Life is going to get more interesting as they continue to grow and get more curious with their surroundings.  They are really fast and anxious to explore.
*Love, love, love these babies!!!
