Real Food...Kind of

Chandler

Now that these two cuties are six months old it's time to start the baby food. Tonight I sat them in their Bumbos, made a bowl of rice cereal and here are the results...
Chayce not loving the new food

Is this crazy or what?!?

Sundays

I don't think I have posted about Sunday for a while. I love Sundays. I love getting to get ready for some place to go, I love having my kids with me all in one spot for church. I love getting to see friends and neighbors whom I don't see daily because I don't leave my house during the week. I love the spirit of the meetings and that my "cup is refilled" to make it through the next week. I love seeing my handsome husband up on the stand, knowing he is a worthy Priesthood holder who not only leads our family but our ward family as well.
With all of this being said...Sunday's are a bit chaotic.
Getting myself and nine kids out the door, most needing showers, clothes pressed, shoes found and even worse, socks found. Hair needs to be done, teeth brushed babies changed, fed, changed and fed again. Diaper bag packed with bottles, formula, size three and four diapers, sippy cup, cars (lots of cars), books, crackers, pretzels and of course wipes. Babies need to be lotioned up so they smell good when they are being held by lovely, helpful ward members. We say family prayer and then we load into our enormous van, three car seats buckled, final lip gloss applied and scripture bags forgotten and we are off!

Sacrament meeting is usually uneventful besides the fact that I should have never ironed my skirt because there is always a Max, Nicholas or a Twin on my lap or off my lap sometimes there are two boys on and off my lap and of course I am trying to fan myself because it is so hot and I am beat red and a pool of sweat (not pretty, why I even applied that final lip gloss I am not sure). All is well until the Sacrament is passed...we are good as long as the Sacrament tray ends with me (I sit on the isle) and doesn't begin with me. For some reason Nicholas is ok if we take the bread or the water and then pass it onto the nice Deacon patiently waiting next to me for the tray but if it starts with me than it's all over! Nicholas is so mad that the tray continues down to his brothers and sisters without him getting more that he just looses it...completely looses it. At this point I quickly walk out of the meeting and not too long after I leave I hear Max screaming "I want Mom!" so he soon finds his way out with me as well. But this isn't every Sunday (as long as the tray goes in the right direction). If all is well at this point this is when the cars come out, yup you bet I let my little kids play with toys during the meeting. However I can hear and those around me can hear I will bring whatever it takes!!! As soon as we hear the closing song, Max know that is his cue...run up to dad, sit on his lap and smile for all to see that HE was a good boy! Ahhh now on to Sunday School and Relief Society. Besides the coming in and out of these meetings to change babies diapers and make bottles we are pretty much set for the next hour and a half. (I am completely exhausted writing this, way more exhausted than experiencing it, I think). After the three hour block I think to myself "I made it"! "I did it"!

I know this is not how life will always be. I know that at some point in life I will know who I am and what kind of things I like or want to do. This is what I want to do right now. I love my kids, I love my life. I laugh a lot! I cry sometimes too.
LIFE IS GOOD!

Sweet 6 Months!

Chayce and Chandler
Happy 6 Months today!!!
Chayce and Chandler about 2 weeks old

I cannot believe that they are already 6 months old today!
These two little guys have grown so quickly! I guess I was thinking if they came in twos that they would stay little longer.
Then again they are Kerby babies.

"Good Morning Boys!" This is how they wake up every morning, so so happy!!!

Chandler
He is full of personality. Always giggling, easy to make smile. Doesn't love to eat right away when he wakes up and super social!
Chayce
The more serious one. Smiles after he is sure about you, loves to grab and scoot backwards. This kid likes to eat the minute he wakes up!

I love that they are playing with and sucking on their toes. They are staring to roll over but still hate being on their stomachs.
I weighed both of them this morning and they are both exactly
20 pounds!!!

These little guys are so sweet, so happy and so much fun!! We love them so much!! Happy 6 Months Chayce and Chandler!!
LIFE IS GOOD!
